Etching a Board Using Ferric Chloride
Step 9: The finished board

Here we see the board after it has been rinsed and dried. The etch-resist material can be removed with mineral spirits, paint thinner, nail polish remover, etc.

You might consider leaving the etch-resist on until you are actually ready to drill and populate the board; it will help prevent the copper from oxidizing or otherwise getting dirty.
